Why on this round thing we call earth do insurance companies want more money if your car has a tracker!!??
More chance of car being found (in theory)
Ergo less chance they have to pay out a total loss.

They probably think tracker = higher risk car (i.e. undeclared mods, parking in high theft areas etc.)

fro i have this exact same problem, i spoke to insurance company A Plan and they say you DONT have to declare it but i agree it should bring it down.

I couldnt believe it when the quote went up
The only reason to have one then is for your own benefit that you get your actual car back, but i don't think i would want it back after it has been stolen tbh.
