Are these good well built cars, ill be moving from a 1997 Corsa can I expect same build quality ? Also is it an XE or Ecotec engine ?  Cheers folks...

earier one was an XE the newer facelift one had an eco tec & the power was reduced get an xe i think there about group 15.

Mines an Ecotec and an XE unit. I think the Astra Ecotec units were designated XEL's.

the 1998 ones are the 136 bhp not the 150 bhp. but they look much nicer.

yeah but you can get rid of all the ecotech shit so get the later one and get the stuff for the ecotech removed

any one been in one ? i believe 60 can be done in 7 secs flat ? no comments on build quality ?
