My mate has a corsa c, same as mine, 1.2 sxi, but he has got no heat coming into the car and its bloody cold.
the blower motor is working and the heater controls are working, the only thing i can think of is either the heater matrix is blocked or possibly the thermostat has gone, ive heard of that being a cause on another car before.
any help please

whats the best way to get rid of that then, oh also dunno if this is a symptom or not but when he drained the coolant system, he undone the plug at the bottom drained it all out, but when he topped it up it wouldnt go down until he drove it , then topped up again and drove it and so on until it was fully topped up.

It's a symptom of head gasket failure, check the oil cap for signs of mayo.

i took the cap off the coolant bottle, while cold and off, then ran the car with the lid off, which brought the air to the top then topped up job done

cant think what it could be to be, ill tell him to try that mate with the cap off, its been like it for about 3-4 months now .
i would thought if it was a airlock it would of worked its way out by now as he did keep taking the cap off after the car was run to try to release air after the tank had built up pressure.
only thing i can think of is the heater matrix is blocked or the thermostat has gone, i only know of that though due to a friend ages ago having the same problem wether that could cause the problem on different cars though i wouldnt know

how would i get rid of the airlock though, as said he emptied it before and tried topping it up but he has to run the car to make it go down.
I dont think its the cable as you can hear a difference in the airflow when you turn it from cold to hot, when you turn to hot it gets slightly warmer but not only slightly

when i had an airlock, i had the engine running, took the coolant cap off and put the blowers to hot, a load of air came out and that was it
