Brother has a few pairs of oakley's (has a habbit of losing them as well) and they are pretty decent but i personally think they are quite expensive for what they are. Plus i think some of the designs are a little weird/odd.

At the end of the day they are worth what people are willing to pay for them and in my opinion they are worth every penny, I've had a few pairs over the years and really cant fault any of them for style, comfort and in particular the quality of lenses. Currently have a pair Titanium Square Whiskers and a pair of X Squared and absolutely love them.

I don't have a problem paying top dollar for good shades, wouldn't get Oakleys though, purely based on looks.

I have 3 pairs,my favourites are my straight jacket polarised blue ice fires!I've had them for maybe 12 or 13 years and they're as good today as the day I bought them.I burnt my retinas when I taught sailing and windsurfing one summer-even though I was wearing sunglasses,I got reflective blindness which although it was temporary and cleared in a few days,it scared me so much that I will never again buy cheap sunglasses.the money for the fully polarised lenses is worth every penny imo!! my favourite ones cost about £120 all those years ago so pro rata they haven't been that expensive. I love oakleys so much so that when I finish my house, the first thing Im treating myself to is a new pair but customized x metal juliettes!

I've got a pair identical to them, would of been 10 years ago when i bought them, still in perfect condition now. No problem at all spending the money on some decent ones.

This. Better for sports orientated rather than fashion however, imho.

I've got a pair of those, got them for snowboarding as they're metal framed, and I thought they'd be stronger, and look good still... were £110
And i'm sure you can get the same cheaper, but I think they were worth it still

That's why I want a pair.
I'll agree that Ray Bans are more cool from a fashionable point of view
