Just thought id start this so people can look at my shots and point out ways to improve technique and maybe suggest angles or filters?
Anyway enjoy or suggest
Camera Canon 350d, standard kit lense and round hood.
No tripod so shots arent as sharp as id like them to be.

like the ones of the spinnaker wish i would waited around until it was lit up to get some hdr

Should have stuck the iso up and shutter speed down a bit if handheld.

As for angles, the phonebox one, should have been straight.

Steve the sninnaker is different each night, Last time i went it was bright white but didnt have my cam

John the phone box itself isnt straight
Everything around it was wonky but im guessing as it was the main feature it should have been the one thing to concentrate on.

I am playing with Iso and shutter speed so hopefully it will get better

To be honest not feeling any of them at all. The Spinnaker Tower shots are blurry and too dark. Could be so much better if you had used a Tripod.

Phone Box Shots are really blurry, wonky and have glare from the lights. A Polarising filter would help.

The last shot has cut off the top of the trees and lampost and could do with some adjusting to make the whites slightly whiter. Also blurry.

Price and best place for a polarising filter?
Got a Uv filter on but didnt have the hood when i took those shots.
