Now until recently I had forgotten about an incident that happened in October 97 not until I saw this bullshit about slender man did I remember.
I was seeing this girl in Theale at the time and every evening after school I would ride down to her house which meant crossing a golf course. Me and my two mates used to go every evening without fail.
One night we were coming back up the golf course which is quite a steep hill so we were pushing our bikes up in the pitch black. All of a sudden along the tree line the outline of a stupidly tall man came out of nowhere and literally covered the distance to the bottom of the hill in like 5 steps it was scary as fuck and we all saw it and stopped in our tracks.
I'd forgotten about it and I just asked my mate who was with me at the time if he remembers and he did and he just said that slender man looks just like what we saw.
So although it's an Internet myth we saw something very similar with no explanation to this day

I have a similar story. Was aout 18 at the time and walking back from a mates with a mate after a house party. We went down some stairs under an underpass and then heard a noise of what sounded like stones being kicked behind us. Turned around and in the shadows at the top of the stairs was a 'figure'. Couldn't really make it out, but needless to say we fucking legged it.
