my bro has a budget of around 9k. the rough spec is

-reasonable on insurance and tax, and servicing
-all the electrics and aircon/climate control
-not a skoda
-3dr
-engine not bigger than a 2.0

the only car that comes to mind is a mint mk4 golf gti anniversary in black, its a pretty good looking car with a nice interior and has enough power to get about but other than that im out of ideas.

any 140bhp 2ltr tdi engined VAG would get my vote. little remap and you have a 180bhp 50+mpg cheap insurance car with all the mod cons!

Excellent cars to drive, comfortable, modern and quicker than you need. Perfect imo.

If you don't want a flash overpriced car that is.
