my car has a pretty bad oil leak my sump looks fine originally thought was coming from oilpipe but my alternator is covered in oil i really dont have the foggiest about engines so can anyone help

Have a look what's above the alternator. More than likely the rocker cover gasket needs replacing.

last post before i get murdered sorry bout wrong section but its a leaky oil pressure switch apparently really common in the x12xe engine :/ getting it replace tomo morning before i go to southampton to pick up my slabs happy days

You just need to replace the metal washer.
