About cars having parking lights when you leave the indicator on?

edit: also found this in the highway code

"All vehicles MUST display parking lights when parked on a road or a lay-by on a road with a speed limit greater than 30 mph (48 km/h)."

any one adhere to it?

Corsas don't anyway, I've found Mercs, BMWs and the likes are more prone to it.

Corsas have them - just use the sidelights.

Cars with indicator activation just do that to save power by only lighting one side.

I do it if I'm parking opposing the flow of traffic.

I never knew this tbh, that makes sense though the other day i opened my door to get out of my car and the lights on buzzer sounded, i turned the lights off and the buzzer tone changed. I then realised my indicator stalk was in the on position, but no dash lights etc were on!

Didn't somebody on here get woke up by the police because they'd left patking lights on, and had to explain to the police about the legality of it

Strange thing with the astra is sometimes itl beep as if their on until I move the stick (flash or sometimes indicate) and itl stop. Probz a dodgy stalk but works fine otherwise

The MiTo doesn't have them bloody italians.

I knew that you had to either leave parking lights of sidelights (if parking lights aren't fitted) on if you park on a road over 30mph in limit, also know that it's totally random which cars have it
