Does it not just show that you could do the same with the Corrado and it would be clean again, saving the cost of a second car? Rather than paying all the costs of a second car just so the first car doesn't get dirty, even though the second car will and will need cleaning just the same

I hate my car being that dirty so can see why you have the Escort. Be nice to have a winter car to not give a crap about but can't justify it at the moment.

He is rebuilding/replacing parts on the hellastance over the winter, so this way he also has a car to get about in so doesn't have to rush and can be as anal as he likes as he's into that kind of thing

Fair do's in that case, if it's more a daily why the Corrado's having work done. The way he worded it sounded like he'd got the Escort just so the Corrado didn't get dirty

I don't like my car getting dirty, I just wash it after the bad weather though and save having 2 cars.

Why, if you have a semi classic car is it such a crime not to want to use it in the winter when theres shit loads of salt everywhere and just generally ruins a car when you could have a cheap crappy escort to take the battering?

Plus driving an ok car around means you can enjoy your good car even more.
