A lot of people have cars for sale one various websites that have bigger engines than the engine stated on the logbook and they state its upto the new owner to declair it.... I don't get it! How does it get an MOT as surly the emissions will be a lot higher than a smaller engine?

The emission level for the 1.0 and 1.6 engines for mine were exactly the same. As long as it passes the emissions thats all they're worried about

some people have a new mot put on the car and then do the engine conversion.
