Mines doing my head in lol. Its a 1.2 MK1 Nova and won't start here without being warmed up. Me and my dad have had to push it into the garage to let it warm up for about two hours lol.
Not sure what the temperature is here during the day, but last night at about 10 oclock it was -12 or something.
Was just wondering how common this was? lol

Yeah will be antifreeze in it, havent had to top it up from last year.
Could be the fact that the previous owner decided to take out the choke cable for some unknown reason, but it still started every time last year. Recieved one for free recently though so once the weather clears ill look into it.
Mates Polo wouldn't start yesterday either.

Put an old blanket under the bonnet try and wrap as much up as you can, it insulates it a bit and might help a bit in the cold mornings (don't forget to take it out before you start it up though )

Ill bear that in mind, but to be honest its not really worrying me these days. I work about half a mile from my house and go to college about a mile away so would normally just walk anyway. I see the benefit of having a house with a garage now though lol

Rick, have you tried speaking to the car in a soothing manner?
This can work the way it does on plants, dogs and women.
Also, you should always praise the car after it has behaved well or achieved a goal.

I quite expected our Diesel Astra to give up the ghost this winter, pretty much everything on it is as it came from the factory 10 years ago, including the battery But its been faultless so far

If any of this fails, give it a lovely soapy wash Should be right as rain then.

Always works a charm
Surprised mine is still working as it hasn't been washed in three weeks It's so covered in snow and dirt, it's the dirtiest I've ever had a car get
It's probably looking forward to when it stops snowing because it knows that the past few weeks will be made up for

My Astra 1.9 CDTI 150 always starts fine but keeps blowing the washer jet fuse. Already changed it twice in the last two weeks.
