GSi was sold to free up some money for another car, but was rotten and is now stripped
I'll find something else by then, won't be particularly competitive but I'll be out on track in something.

Imagine how much faster it'd be with an XE.

May be another Corsa, also fancy a Vec GSi.
Corsa would be quick enough with that spec.

...but quicker with an XE. That just seems like an awful lot of wasted work to me, each to their own of course.

If you do it properly and copy that spec it's not expensive at all. 20XE is a thing of the past.

The only reason I would choose a 1.6 over an XE is because of the initial cost of getting the hubs, shafts, sourcing an engine etc. I personally see no point in spending hundreds of pounds on a small engine just to get it up to the same power as a slightly larger engine.
I'd love to see a medium tuned 1.6 v a standard XE on the same suspension to see how it would go.
