Finally got one today.
Only had a quick look but it looks extremely like a bit of paper.
Device is smaller than I expected, feels ok to hold, nice bit of kit.
I've sourced The God Delusion and the Stieg Larsson trilogy (only because of the hype, I read the first page of the first one and I'm not sure already).
Stieg was mobi which is supported natively, Dawkins was epub, a site converted that in 2 mins for me, just dragged them across, you can email them over too.
Had a quick play with the browser, it would do in a push but you wouldn't exactly use it if you had a choice, that's part and parcel with the way the screen works.
I'll report back when I've spent time actually reading on it but first impressions are really good.

Been eying up a kindle as well, but are there decent sites to get books at five finger discount rates?
Edit - Nevermind, did a quick search on a usenet forum and found loads.

You'd have to be interested in reading and actually see one to get it.
It's not like reading on a phone/computer screen, it's as close to a book as you can get without actually being on a bit of paper.

I've only seen the sony one's briefly in shops, I got the Kindle purely on reviews, basically nobody has anything bad to say about it.

Do you prefer it to reading a real book or it it purely for convinience?
I had a brief look in waterstones but think I prefer having a real book!

My old man has a Sony reader, he loves it. He's always reading something on it.

I like real books, I always had dreams of having a library one day, being a geek though I've fancied one of these for years, I can see the benefits of having it, even being easier to hold than a book.
Only time will tell really, I'm not 100% sure yet. I can see me potentially reading more because if I see a book I like the look of I can just download it, don't have to order, go to a shop etc.
The books I have so far were from nzbmatrix but they look to be widely available at any of the download outlets.
