nope, he said that i sped up to get through, but i told him it was because i would of skidded if i tried to stop i was pretty much on the line doin 15-20 mph

Shouldn't have said you would have skidded, that means you were going too fast.

he was behind me, he saw how fast i was going, started accusing me of having cannabis aswell! wanted to search the car and everythin, was bein a royal prick, then when he got out the car to search mine, he said ' actually i can smell it out here' stuck his head in my car for half a second then said right you can go wasnt happy atall

yeah, accidentally wheel span away from him aswell inside wheel was on ice and wouldnt grip he let me go on that though

Dont think so, arnt they just sensors to recognise when someone/something is there?

yeah but at any speed if you try to stop within 2 feet on ice, your going to skid

Thing is,the amber light isnt just on for a split second.It gives plenty of time to start slowing down.If you were on the stop line when it went red,at 15-20mph you would have been quite a bit away from the line with plenty of time to stop.
