I've got a piper decat on mine and I noticed a difference Mine isn't raspy at all though. It just gave it a deeper tone. Sounds ace

Yer mine wasnt raspy at all. I hate rasp. It was a really deep tone sounded awesome at 5.5k rpm! Was with scorpian exhaust and standard manifold.

It felt better at higher speeds, but low down i dont think there is any difference. Engine light use to come on aswell after you had been nailing it.

I bought a s/s piper silenced one for £149, reved freely but would benefit from a whole system.
silenced ones are a must to eliminate the rasp

It wasn't a massive gain from mine, but it does pull better without it I found.

If you've got decent sized middle box mark I wouldn't think you'd need a silenced one. Its only usually when they are used with a racetube that they sound crap

Tbh it's hard for me to tell if it makes a difference as what I use the car for is very stop start night rallying so nothing really smooth.
