Looking at treating myself with some Christmas money.
Won't be playing it religiously so I reckon 160gb would be more than enough and not arsed if its the old one or the slim one. Will only be playing Fifa, F1 and maybe some other racing/sports games.
Only thing thats necessary is warranty

have a look on ebay i got mine off there with warrenty still, mines a 160gb had 3 games 1 controller, hdmi lead and i paid £165 and i picked it up
if not have a look at game, gamestation ect

Toys'r'us have the 120gb for £199.99 at the minute. I got mine off zavvi just before christmas for £190 odd for a 320gb so check their deals out too. Both brand new with warranty too, I would be very sceptical buying a second hand one but thats just me.

For warranty, GAME + £30 odd quid or whatever for the warranty which includes "accidental" damage

Just bought a 160gb slim from "Playstation Rewards" for £199, to replace the faulty 1 I've got to send back to Gameplay to get a refund.

Unless you have an actual paper receipt from Zavvi then Sony wont accept any warranty claims on it as they deam buying off eBay equates to second hand, despite it being brand spankers. There was a thread on HDUK about this.

my brother got one off ebay the other day that was broke. went and picked it up for £51, threw it into a shop to be fixed and turned out the hard drive had crashed or something so charged him £20 to fix it. so £71 for a working ps3 isnt bad at all

Yeah if you request it they send you a proper receipt from their online shop  was a bit weary of that at first but all good now.

250gb brand new slim, with modnation racers for 169.87 or something with free delivery, sold out now though, so glad i bought on
