My mate has asked me to design him a tattoo, Gave me a list of things he would like to be shown in it. What do you think??

The long thin part of the guitar is too small, makes the guitar look weird.
Flames look far too bold, would need to be a lot more shading for it to look good as a tat.

You can draw a load of smart stuff which looks good on paper but you need to try think how it would look on skin. I would say for something like this is to have a lot of light shading with darker areas in between

You mean the strings? Yeah It was just to fit on the small bit of paper. Was just a doodle in the bath and I sent him the basic idea. Im sure the tattoo artist will make alterations.

The strings and the bit behind the strings that you hold.
Was the bath tub empty never heard of anyone drawing in the bath. Suppose youve got to get your 'inspiration' from somewhere. Just dont cut off your ear.
A good tattooist would pretty much redesign it as well no matter how many times you saw you want it like that.

Apart from the guitar neck needing to be a little longer that's awsome.

Don't worry about folk whinging about shading etc as a tattooist will only trace the outlines off your drawings then discuss shading etc with him if it's not possible to do what you have drawn.

im wanting a new tattoo you could help design if youd like?
also what you have drawn, a good tattoo artist will be able to transfer with ease theres nothing on there which wont transfer to skin with an extra bit of shading

Whose whinning about shading? Im being totally honest and i can guarantee any 'good' tattooist will not take that design as it is and stick it on someones body. They will sort it all, add more detail to make it look much clearer and they will defo redraw the ribbon part and lettering. They should ask what kind of lettering you would prefer as well.
Tattooist like to get their own bit in on a design that requires some work.

If they dont like how it looks they should tell you straight away. They are there to help as well as give you something thats going to stay on your body for the rest of your life so yes expect a lot of changes.
They do all the design work for free anyway.
