I've got my car forsale on autotrader and I have blanked out my reg number. I had an email off someone asking for the reg. I told them all the details you need for a quote but he's insisting on having the reg number, is there anything I need to be concerned about?

Probably just wants to do a Hpi check. I've given it out before when people ask, can't see a problem with it tbh...but I dunno, maybe someone else has an opinion on it!

Never understood hiding the reg plate ever. You drive everywhere with it displayed?!

Probably a Daily Mail thing

I would expect the plate to do a HPI.

People block them out because say I wanted to clone a red corsa, rather than walking up and down the street trying to find one I could just look up red corsa on Autotrader and have hundreds to choose from

I used to do it, not sure why. Feel like a fool thinking about it. Totally pointless imo.
