hi has any one done a 1.6 8v turbo iif sooo what power can you get out of it and how hard is it to do?????????

Far cheaper and easier to just put a LET in.

DIY build, with the right parts, prob about 150bhp. Your spend about £700 though.

Would have thought you'd be looking at more than 150bhp if you get that from bodies.

I suppose it depends how much boost you want to run, what other tuning you're doing etc.

comperssion plate on, 1 bar boost, adjustable fpr thats it really dnt really no what else to do as neva done 1 before lol

Its not about how much boost you want to run. You need to balance it with the compression ratio.

The more you lower compression, The more boost you need to make the same power.

You could run standard compression with like 4psi boost and get lots of power, and then lower the compression and have to run 12psi boost to get the same power.

150BHP was a very low boost figure on a slighty lower compression engine, 200BHP is do-able though.

laddidn 8v turbo nova in total vaux
not sure what issue though
used all sorts of parts though

naz seen it didnt get that issue tho a was goin to use 5mm spacer plate with 2 head gaskets a want to gett about 180 bhp or more

I dont think you should go anywhere near a turbo conversion.

I'm fairly sure there was a 16xe that was turbo'd and used a 5mm spacer.
