Hey guys, okay.. its not a corsa.. But its a engine problem so some of you might know!
Oil light come on yesterday, so changed the oil as it was just above min, and now it is just under max, but light is still on, so changed the oil pressure switch on top the of the block, light is still on..
The light doesnt come on, when its idling, but when you rev it up to 2.5k oil light comes on. So we took the cam cover off, and turned engine on for a few seconds and the oil didn't spit out or anything, the cams just turned as normal, so they isn't much pressure getting to the top, engine is very tappy too!
Any ideas what it could be? Its a 1.4 8v polo!
Gonna try n clean the breather pipes.. Few people think i might need to drop the sump and check the oil pump

Sake, I've done a engine flush too! forgot to mention that! Might just b crapped up.. Hasnt bin driven in 3 months and i only bought it few days ago

1/8BSP bottom entrance hudraulic pressure guage. Whack it in place of your pressure sensor and see what readings you get.
Easiest way to check your oil pressure

Infact Thorite is just up north.
Find any Hydraulic kit suppliers local.
guage should be no more than a tenner

Ta matey Gonna clean the pipes first, and take the sump off and check its not all covered in crap

Done the compression test, it seems to be okay, gets lower as it warms up.
Done a other engine flush today, i have got pressure to the top of the engine again, new oil filter and oil again, but yet the light is still on, replaced pressure switch too! Am i gonna have to drop the sump and clean the oil pump ?

Compression test is a test on the cylinders. Do you mean you checked the oil pressure like above? Did you find out what it should be reading? Sounds like your oil pump if it isnt making the oil pressure you need
