Joined a gym, used to do allot of kick boxing and so that was my Cv then gym was mainly weights and machines.

Ive not done anything for over a year now since i ripped my shoulder and now really want to start getting back into it as I have full movement, basically same as everyone in january want to lose weight and get fit. Not bothered about bulking up, just trim adn tone.

Suggestions for machines/exercises to do?

Few mins from my house! Heard about this gym, think it was £9.99 a month if you pre-registered online otherwise it's £14.99 a month.
I believe its a 24hr gym, which would be my main appeal.

Stretch:

Foam roll / PVC roll / lacrosse ball
Dynamic movements
Static stretch

Lift:

Fast movement (example: power cleans, box jumps, med ball throws)
Strength movement (example: squat, bench press, deadlift, press)
Size / Hypertrophy (example: all assistance movements)

Sprint:

Prowler, hills, strongman movements, treadmill sprints, weight vest walking, complexes. General rule of conditioning: If it's awesome, do it. If your mum can do it, don't.

That's because commercial gyms are toss. Look for a strength and conditioning one near you. I found one near me and its the best thing that's ever happened to me training wise. I'm now fitter, leaner and stronger than I ever have been and I'm only 4kg down on the weight I was at when I peaked at body building and I've been drug free for a year!

I tend to find that commercial gyms have better opening hours etc! thats the only reason i go to DW gym! The old bodybuilding one i used to go to was open 12-8 mon - fri... Bit wank if you ask me
