What am I looking at with regards to what goes wrong? It's a 55 plate 35k for 8990 at Mini dealer.

Got this list off the Mini forum:

noisey lifters in the head,
worn charger gears on high mileage cars,
clicking power steering columns,
Split ball joints,
Worn track rod ends,
Split expansion tanks,
Aircon not blowing (could be compressor, could be regas),
Broken exhaust hangers,
Engine management lights,
Worn top mounts,
Drive shafts.

General stuff that you'd look for on most cars by the sound of it

55 plate makes it supercharged still I presume? That's also a pretty good price for one!

The list above as mentioned by Matt, as well as creaking steering column (muchos money to replace)
Clutches wear on them if used for a lot of town driving as they're not good in traffic / crawling. Again muchos money as it requires the subframe to be dropped.
Power steering reservoir prone to failing / leaking.
Electric windows not working - the control module jams, can usually be fixed by smacking just above the speaker, but if not is again expensive.
Boot lid leaking - usually around high level brake light or perished seal on boot handle ( mines perished on boot seal and appears you can't just replace the seal, it's a whole new handle, which again is over £100!)
Worn bushes - my rear wishbone ones were non existant!
Check for juddering when accelerating hard - can be a sign of the crankshaft pulley / engine damper failing.

They're the main ones I can remember off the top of my head. And the fact they struggle to do 32mpg

Its banter.

Ojc's one of the biggest banter merchants on here. I'm sure he can take it.

What if he can't take it? You may have just ruined the Sabbath Day for Oliver. That's a shame Benjamin.
