I've made a few little mods made since I last posted any proper photos of my Cooper S. It's currently testing the durability of Zaino Z2 which I applied 1 coat of last weekend, I've done about 180 miles since then, and I roped a mate in with his SLR to take some decent photos of it yesterday

It's now got the aero grilles on the front (lower grille requires a fair bit of modification to fit as the standard Cooper S bumper is nowhere near as deep) - for £50 it's made a fair difference to the front end imo!

Next up I've fitted a 'Dave-F' Airbox which consists of an extra air intake using the vent in front of the windscreen on the passenger side and a K&N cone filter - this has certainly made it breath better - seems a little more torquey, and has a nice mechanical 'dump' sound when I back off the loud pedal

Most recently I've also fitted the upper and lower front OMP strut braces which has given it much more feel through the corners, and because it's that much stiffer, it's stopped the dashboard creaking

Somewhere in the mix the runflats got ditched for normal tyres (Avon ZZ3's) which has improved ride quality and ironed out it's tendancy to tramline - downside is that the tyre fitters made a right mess of my already scruffy wheels, so they are in desperate need of a refurb! And a Honda Civic aerial was fitted

On with the pic whoring:

Oh and finally got round to scanning my RR graph in from the other week:

There's one more definite mod happening in the next fortnight or so, then we'll see after that

you've turned it round, i recall you've had to spend a lot of cash on it.

my next plans are a remap that should see me over 200bhp easily

Yeh touch wood it's finally there. I've spent ~£2.5k fixing it Only thing it needs now is the boot handle seal replacing as it leaks a fair bit - seems you had to replace the whole handle though so that's another £100+

A remap will be on the cards for mine should I go for the next stage of mods of injectors, manifold and cam, which would see me to 250bhp which is the maximum a standard head can take. I'm just not sure I can be bothered with it though!

Been told the best thing you can do to these is get a fmic as the tmic is pretty restrictive. Looked into these last year as the Cooper-S looks really nice

A decent FMIC will result in me losing the air con / climate control though - fook that!

I've got a GRS motorsport top mount on the way which are very highly rated - should see me up to 210bhp if not a little more too

Yeh the whole engine bay is pretty tight really. Not the best pic, but there's all of 5 cm between the bumper and the rads:

Cheers all

Wheels will be staying silver, but metallic / hi power, something alone those lines anyway.

They're just a straight silver atm with no metallic flake to them.

Wheels will be staying as I've always loved them on Mini's!

Everybody on the Mini forum is telling me to ditch them too.

I've even been told that lightweight wheels will improve handling and allow it to accelerate better! WTF?!
