Afternoon,

I have had my golf on auto trader for a week or two now, and earlier today a chap called from a finance company who find people interested in my car then finance it too them and pay me in full.

All seemed a bit odd as i've not heard of it before, was worth a punt so paid the £99 admin fee on amex so its all protected.

Has anyone had dealings with these companies before?

£100 admin fee, have they guaranteed you they will take the car from you and for what price ?

its advertised at £2650, if it goes for that price I get the admin fee back. guaranteed price of £2500

In there any clause which says you get your money back after so long if they don't find a buyer, or have you just gave someone £99 for nothing?

£99 isn't protected I'm afraid, Section 75 only applies to transactions of £100 or more...

He is sending me the paperwork by email this afternoon, if he doesn't sell the car before I do I get it back.

I didn't say it was going on eBay tonight to the bloke though.
