where has everyone wired the thick black wire from the nine pin plug in footwell to get the switched feed from the help would be great

the thick black is normally the blue coolant temp wire wrapped in a black sleave, the other black is switch live

cheers mate id already connected the temp gauge wire and im left witha thick red one which im told goes directly on the battery and the black one goes to the ignition live wire if thats true
