I got my mrs' one from Tiffany's.
So it wasn't cheap.
It cost twice my monthly salary.
All depends tho, my mrs didn't want me spending silly money, I actually spend a grand more than she wanted me to spent. Yet a friend of ours spent over £5k on a custom made one and it looks horrid.

Anything from just under £1000 to the skys the limit. They are platinum and the price depends on the clarity of the diamond. They always use very good clarity diamonds. And you get certificates and shit with it.
They are very nice and to be honest no more expensive in comparison to other jewelers.
As my mrs said ,"it's the only time she is every going to have a tiffany diamond ring bought for her".
So makes the ring slightly more special.
You would have to go to a shop to look at them as they never stock the same rings week in week out.

2-3 months salary, but i'm 99% sure it was a marketing ploy by a jewellery company

Surely it's more about the diamond/gold/design as opposed to how much is actually spent? If it looks the part then go for it. You can spend thousands and still get a piece of shit.

I actually just paid for the diamond and smaller diamonds down the sides.
I did around £800 worth of work to his car (obviously didn't cost me that though lol) to pay for the rest

I think Tiffany rings are a bit cliche.. I would hope someone knew me well enough to get something personally made.

High street jewellers are an Uber rip off.
Rings/watches/ whatever...you will paying a massive uplift on cost.
I discussed this with my missus before I bought her ring...I paid about £2K and anything similar in high street jewellers would be £6k
