Isn't simply a universe for you to create your own games?
There's a trailer for LBP2

i loved the first one, half way through the second one right now. its simple and fun. can become addictive though
theres loads of levels ready made which is the story, when you complete it you collect items along the way (the items that the level theyre in is actually made up of) and the better you do the more parts you get.
you can make your own levels and play other peopls online, some of the levels online are crazy and must have taken weeks/months for people to build

Essentially yes. The aim of the game is to clear the level and dodge obsticals or complete puzzles to progress. Theres no coins to collect, but there are levels where you need to pop bubbles etc.

its 1-4 player aswell so expect to be roped into playing at some points because there are parts where you need more than one person to complete them. (these are bonus parts of the level, they just get you more stuff)

in LBP2 there is a bit more variety in levels now, not so much just left + right platforming but allsorts now.

id pick up the first one rather than the 2nd, the 1st really tells you how to play and the point in getting the bubbles, it also has 3-4 levels dedicated to learners, the 2nd kind of just drops you in it and only really shows you how to do the new stuff.
