2.2 vs turbo?

Obviously turbo is faster but is the extra cost worth it. The 5.5 0-60 of the 2.2 should be enough for the real world imo?

Its for a mate whos thinking about dreaming of looking into one..

Im on about in standard form, hes not likely to be tuning it.

Whats sort of cars is a 2.2 as fast as in tge real world?

What do they weigh??

I have the 2.2 in my Astra and it goes good.Pulls nice and smooth.Under-powered for a 2.2 but has good torque.Astra weighs about 1200 give or take.

i loved my 2.2, i always felt that if i was hacking it round a bend in a turbo version the turbo would kick in and through me into a ditch
ive never driven a turbo so cant comment, all depends on budget i suppose

Of course he could, he's got loads of disposable cash - remember, he's just gonna throw away that Corsa C when he's had enough of it!

Tell him to try it first, it's a completely different driving experience from anything I've ever known. Very crashy and quite claustrophobic.

well i found a standard turbo quite tame, with 60+hp less i think u would soon get bored of a 2.2, much more tuning potnetial on a turbo also for less money!

With an average sized passenger getting it into gear is almost impossible without skelping their legs. I'm only wee as well
