It's always my first thought whenever I move tbh. Boring without the internet and takes a few weeks to get connected usually. No harm borrowing some wifi for a few weeks.

Usually takes a few weeks to get the phone line and ADSL up and running, so Aircrack is your friend

When I moved into a new flat, I had no net, and those 3g dongle things are shit, went round to a neighbours asked for his internet key for a few weeks. Gave him a few crates of beer, sorted!

Someone's put a note up in my building asking if they can borrow some internet. I'd let them onto mine but they're 2 floors above so no chance of it working. If you use IP allocation and an access table then you can easily boot them off if they take the piss, can even keep any eye on what they're accessing if you use Open DNS too

I'd just knock on their door and ask them nicely if I was you... like ed said plenty of logging options for free if you want to go down that route

if they use WEP its very easy, if they use WEP+Mac Filtering then its taxing. IF they use WPA then you are better off knocking on their door and asking for the key.
