Not at all, any salvage bargain is always worthy of discussion. Particularly if some scene fool will give you a free car just by buying some bits off it.

in the case of a write off, the value you give when you start the policy is completely ignored. engineers set a pav independantly from the insurer using glasses guide and market values.

It doesn't make the car move, it just makes more noise - It's not enough engine for a 2.5 tonne 4x4 car, so much so they've stopped doing them with it.

Whats the whole thing with a cat c? You can still drive them right? Does your insurance change or anything or is it just a letter to tell people how badly it has been crashed?

Need an identity check before they can go back on the road. Usually has it on the front of the logbook too.

Insurance is unaffected.
