One of the guys at work has said his mate (who recently rolled his Fiesta) has been offered a Corsa and a 2.5 V6 from a Vectra that "will fit straight in".

What's actually involved in fitting one of these engines to the B? Because i didn't think it was a "straight in" conversion.

Have a look on VVOC if your registered, someone with the username Sandsy did it in his corsa, but with a 3.0, I actually think he had a thread on here

Yeah i followed his thread but can't remember the bits he used to fit it Although iirc Specky helped out?

Ah lame, lol. Well I've seen a couple done so can't be too hard Can't see it being a straight swap though.

same as c20xe conversion TBH appart from rear manifold has to be cut, bent and reweldedand obviousley driver side mount is different

Well with a engine mount bought off the shelf, exhaust downpipe/manifold made/welded up, its the same a normal bigblock. Think the slam panel might need adjusting though.

Sump tends to hit the floor a fair bit if its too low I found out the hard way
