Do you need it gone asap?
Just sell it privately, ignore PH. just good ole fashioned AT and it will go.

Selling cars is hassle, I am about to sell my Clio and dreading it. But for the sake of a few thousand pounds I'll write and add and tell a couple fo timewasters to do one tbh.

I sold my old corsa to them for £3800, at the time the car was worth £5k, and was offered that next day by someone from the Auto Trader.
Think you've just got to wait untill the phone rings.

I've not read all of that but you don't have to sell. If they take the piss just walk away surely?

so you actually didnt get a very good price then, you sold your car for less then what you could have done on the open market.
Which is fair enough if you want to sell it for less instead of waiting, but you cant go around touting these places saying you will get good honest proces for your cars, because you simply dont, as that report states

yes you can walk away, but they are highlighting the pressures put on less car orientated people to try and "sell" them into thinking they are getting a good deal, and to put pressure on them to sell for less then what its worth

Fuck em, if they're that weak then I have no sympathy. They are a business who want to maximise profits. No different to a car salesman at VX haggling down your car on a PX.

i will get more than book price for trade in and so get a better deal on nothaving a car to trade in
Obviously your not going to get the high end of a private sale price but

from parkers which is only a guide
Private good is 11,300
Private poor 9,735
Trade in 10,485
So offer is 400 above trade in and 500 below guide price for good private
So for me thats a good price for someone to take it away straight away hassle free

do you mind me asking how long you had the corsa and how much money its cost to own for that time
i.e: cost of buying, less money raised from sale

They gave my sister in law middle book for a Corsa C years ago and were below book but above a main dealer underwrite on my mates Impreza.
And if they haggle you, haggle back. They're not your mates.
