Last week I was on the motorway and my car suddenly cut out, rev counter went straight down and I had no power from the car.
It will try and start but wont fire up? And when its left for a day or so the battery goes down and wont even try and start  . Even when you try and put the accelerator down when its trying to start, it feels like theres nothing there!
Went out with my dad to try and bump start it, sounded like it started but not fully started if that makes sense and when I put the accelerator down just sounded like it was sucking in air, but as soon as you put the clutch in it stalled and cut out again.
Im not a whizz with engine and dont know what it could be? If anyone could help that would be good!

Totally fucked battery imo, try sticking a set of jump leads on it from another running car and see if that helps.

Take the oil cap off and get some1 to try start it while you look and see if the cam is turning.
Snapped belt or cam i would say.

does it tick over sounds like the came thing that happened to me do do do do sound?

or if the cars ticking over but not firing cheak the Crank sensor, its a common problem with the (b) model and happened to me scary shit when your driving along and the car shuts down.

ahhh so its just dead? i had the problem where it cut out then you could hear the startor motor working but was not firing
