Only appears to be Scottish papers running with it but on the brink of a takeover from Qatar Holdings worth £1.6 billion?

Glazers double their investment in 5 and a bit years if so

Won't happen. Man Utd to go bust. Rooney to leave for City. mwg to support Barrow. Liverpool to win the league. Kenny to cure cancer. etc....

Keeps being mentioned every few weeks by various papers.

Ideally all we want is someone to come in and clear the debt and that's it. We don't need anyone to give us blank cheques in the transfer market as we can easily generate enough money every year to fund transfers.

The problem with new owners that are rich enough to buy Man United and be able to clear the debt is that then any players we are interested in buying will automatically double in value because they know the owners have huge reserves of money which then means we are probably going to start spending more money than we generate by using the owners cash instead of just the money we make. Like Chelsea and City. Don't want to be in that situation but dont want the debt either!

In terms of the club as a business the Glazers have made us a lot more successful despite the debt.
