After our great adventure last year on Route66 we have decided to do something simailr atthe West Coast

San Francisco to San Deigo via Nappa Valley, lake Tahoe, Yosettime(sp) and LA etc



It should be good and can't wait to have it all finalised

did it last year

i would sooner spend extra nights at Lake Tahoe etc then a couple in Vegas but we will see

at the moment looking at 16 nights

Looks like a good trip, did San Francisco to vegas and a load of places in between, yosemite national park is amazing.

done san fran to la last year.. along the coast though... the view was brilliant... your going to be short on time with 16 days... them dots on the map are further appart than they seem..

i'm doing dallas--houston--new orleans--jackson--memphis--nashville--atlanta this year in june...

what i do is book the hotel for the first night you arrive... stay there for a 2-3 days and then just wing it from there... the hotels always have walk in rates...

theres a handy calculator for calculating drive times

16 days is plenty

I did 19 days and 3,330 miles last year on Route 66

This route is 1300 give or take a few explorations so might end up about 1800
