I tried to fix my fiesta today and used a very sharp knife to cut through a hose. This is what happened when it slipped off.

Cut right into bone and through the tendons. just waiting on the orthopaedic guy checking it out.

Ouch, I sliced my thumb/palm with a stanley knife before, luckily it was on the padded bit, so no real damage.

That looks pretty bad though!

Weird, I have a mate who did the exact same thing at a lock-in at a pub, door closed on him, went to push it open with the glass, slight over-use of force. His little finger is permanently curled in now, weird giving handshakes to him

Would bring a whole new meaning to posh wank.

Edit: red cross fail,

was meant to be a woman sipping tea with her pinky sticking out.

Don't you just love working on cars.

My dad did a similar thing with a hooked Stanley knife cutting in some vinyl, went Inbetween his thumb and index finger and no can't make a fist due to nerve damage. His was operated on and he said it wasn't too bad mate

My dad had the same sort of injury when he was doing the extension. The L-shaped brackets for the windows (just small right angle sheet metal brackets) were sticking out a couple of inches. His trouser turn up got caught on a plank of wood and he tried to stop himself falling by sticking his hand out and leaning on one of these things
