Now i know there can be money to be made being a taxi driver, but really enough to warrant a zaffy GSI??
coming off the m62 from liverpool onto m60 today and saw a Zafira GSI taxi surely you wouldnt make any money all the fuel you'd use??

Theres mercs, new audi's and an octavia vrs around here.
There is money in it if you get with a company who has their office in the right place.
The biggest outgoings are your insurance, your "keep", fuel and the MOT every 6 months. Know a few people who do it and only work thursday, friday and saturday. Make enough to live more than comfortably on.

same could be said for the driving instructors who use bmw 1 series for learner cars
my missus' dad was/is a taxi driver and raked in load of money up in scotland, so it must be a good earner, just crap hours.

Depot rent, insurance and fuel all have to come out of it and there all big bills.
My dad used to do it, ended up bringing home about £300 on a good week! And he had to work right through the night on weekends etc. Not worth it imo.
