Wowser, I wouldn't pay that for a 5year old mondeo,
What extras do I get over the 04 mondeo ghia tdci I picked up for 1200quid last week with only slightly more miles?

Depends if you can live without the ST Badge
I certainly thought i needed an ST, but when it came to the crunch (baby on way at the time and had proposed as well!) i decided i could bank £2k and spend what was left on a tidy Zetec S!
If you park the two cars side by side the differences become quite obvious but i was happy with the next best thing

Leather (or half leather), 6 gears, 155bhp 18s, Bodykit... thats about it (unless its got Xenons etc as well)

Exactly mate, althugh the ST's are nice I dont think they are 3k extra nice tbh, the Zetecs still look the part just a bit less 'in your face'

So 18's a body kit and leathers,
As I have a 6speed box and 130bhp,
They are nice cars though always discounted mondeo's till I actually went in one.

It's a standard looking bugeye STI in WR blue with gold wheels FFS It's what a Scooby is supposed to look like
I see what you mean though, some people like them to be a bit more stealthy. Me? Loud and just like that one

Ohh i see! That is a lot of car for the money
I'm a bit anal though especially with the colour of the car i drive That Racing Blue of the ST just 'Makes' the car for me. Much more thought needed but i'll take a look at this one tomorrow just to see if i like them as much in the flesh again.

If it's just the colour then go for the Zetec imagine having a great, reliable family car and 3k extra in your bank, especially with a new born entirely your choice, obviously, but it jus tseems silly to spend £££ more if you're not overly fussed
