As above in the long title..
Edit: What is the average weight of a corsa b too? I know it varies between engine sizes.

Maybe not on its own, but every little helps in the larger scheme of things.

I will say farty little bits like
rear wiper
spare wheel (replace with that expanding foam)
exhaust heat shields
rear bench and mounts
glovebox innards
headlining
will all add up but very few remove said bits
Anything to keep the weight as low as possible would be my first steps so headlining, seats windows rear wiper. work your way down the car
EDIT: by as low as possible i mean within the car, centre of gravity is the words i was looking for

Headlining weighs absolutely nothing. In fact most of the plastic trim/door cards are not even worth removing for weight saving.
Seats will save you a bit if you replace the front ones as well.
Sound proofing under the carpet is about 10kg
Depends what you're using it for and whether you need to put up with it.

Ahh I see, the fronts would be replaced with buckets and the when I do my engine conversion either this summer or next it will be my track slag as it won't be suitable for everyday use
Thanks for the comments.

If it's loose you could just leave the boot open and it would all fall out.

Mine has a 20xe fitted, completely stripped rear, and it's still over the 1000kg mark. Will weight it again with buckets, and 3gallon tank when it's done.
Makes me laugh when people claim their corsa weights sub 800kgs with just seats and carpets removed lol.

The spare wheel weighs quite abit, new cars well quite a few use a type of expanding foam to fix leaks. On there own the plastics and headlining probz do weigh fuck all but if your going that far then do it properly and take them out :-) all the little bits all add up to 1 big bit dont they :-)

Just the top carpet weighs a couple of kg.
Plenty of weight to be lost from a standard corsa.

I got my old 1.6 sport down to 890kg by gutting the rear and removing A/C (well everything bar the pump)

Isn't the pump the bit that weighs the most? luckily mine doesn't have any optional extras

Mike B will be in here shortly. The way we're going he'll have to watch out for cross winds in case they blow his car over.

Agreed
18 or so Kg for the complete catridge I removed last summer! Then add in all the fittings and the negligible weight of the headlining and pillar trims and you're looking at a saving of over 20Kg
Well, depending on how you blank the hole
