Can this be done? (not in a stalker way)
Basically to cut a long story short, I've had a girl add me from london (no mutual friends or anything) so I didn't accept. she keeps private messaging me asking me to accept but she keeps mentioning she knows my thai mate who died 4 years ago...I'm suspiscious but she's chinese and I asked if she was related, she said she knows his mum but when I said I would ask him mum she told me not too 
I want to see if I can track her IP address to see if I can pin point her location in the uk....Is it possible?

Not off the data you currently have.
Easiest thing is to have her visit a page where you can examine the access logs. Like CS for example.
Could be done if you upload an image and have her take a look. So long as you know date/time or can rule out other requesting addresses you would have it.

You used to be able to get IP address with Facebook email notifications.

Ians image idea isn't bad. If you need help just send me an image and I'll stick it on my server and tell you the IP after it's clicked.

Other option is to offer an online message service such as msn, then either webcam or file transfer.
This wold set up a local bind session between yours and their client, thus getting the ip address from the other end.
but the easier option is to say hey check this out then get the ip from a local held log.

Ah got ya. I did try to draw her attention to msn just to see if she was legit but she "deactivated" her account
something is fishy so im trying to be on my toes. I'm just not very happy she knows so much about my dead mate and she dont want me to contact his family
