to quote from report..
"The silver special paint with yellow cross stripe and white patches for the starting number is reminiscence to the Ferrari 250 GTO racing car with chassis-no. 4153. "
So its there as a nod to the 250GTO

Doesnt particularly justify it in my opinion. As much as I love the classics, using their heritage to market a new car seems to be in keeping with the current trend which is in my opinion a bit of a cheap thing to do. Although classics are classics because they are original and groundbreaking, this is just living in the shadow of its predecessors. Unfortunately it doesnt even suit the lines of the car at all, something new and '2011' would be better suited. Fantastic looking thing nonetheless.

Using the GTO name is a disgrace. Enzo will be turning in his grave over, as Butler said, a blatant marketing ploy to use the heritage of two of the finest Ferrari's ever made (imo).

Exactly what I was thinking.
GTO is just a name. 3 letters to represent a certain model.
This thing would run circles round a 288 GTO and of course a 250 GTO.

His is just a standard GTO, not a Novitec 888.

Are you sure? It looks exactly the same as this one, decals and wheels, doubt he would be bothering to make it a lookylike tbh. I think you might be wrong.

Ah right, this might be it, seeing as he paid ferrari a shed load of cash to restore the GTO he bought for stupid money. sounds fantastic though.

Actually, I was reading about it before Top Gear. And I thought about it then, and I think the same now. Who are you to tell me what I think and where I read or heard about it? So speak when you're spoken to
