been thinking about getting one for the last couple of months now just in the middle of saving a bit more cash for one.

anyone know much about them? as tbh i dont know a hole lot about the hole VAG group as i have really only ever had vauxhalls.

running costs common problems etc?

Quite high mileage, but doesn't look a bad price. A couple of friends have had them. The ride is quite harsh, and they tend to understeer, but no-where near as bad as people seem to make out. Interior is quite nice and solid, but they are getting on a bit now.

Theyr is a 100k,MY2000 S3 with 270+bhp on Fifecarnutz for 4500.

that one was just an example tbh.


cant imagine the ride being any harsher than my corsa

they look a bit dated now but i still like them. you don't usually see them on the roads either, unlike every other audi.

All in all they are a good car. I'd be tempted to save a little more and pick up and 04 A3 2.0 TFSI for c£6000

Edit: That's what I always say when people mention ride quality. Got told I wouldnt be able to bear the harshness of an Audi TT...Coming from a Corsa low on coilovers I'd say it's fucking luxurious!
