FFS

30 years old....5 years protected no claims....driving for 12 years....never had any accidents/points/claims...live in a nice area and car is in a locked alarmed garage at night.

S reg 2.4 V6 Audi A4 worth about £900

I can get NO less than £680 tried just about everyone inc Direct Line and all the compare sites etc

BUT i can insure a 54 plate WRX STI Scooby worth 8K for £1200 Also tried a shitty 2001 plate Mondeo Diesel for a laugh and it came out the same!!

Seriously WTF is going on!!?? Why am i paying for all the dickheads that can't drive properly and crash in the snow/rain. Why can't my renewal either stay the same or get lower and the pricks with loads of points and accidents/claims pay through the nose and we can get them off the roads!

Please tell me it's not just me!? I only paid £375 last year

No mines same. No accidents, no claims or nothing. Gone up around 400 pounds on what it should have been from last years prejections. And i now have a massive excess (700 was 150), or it would have been even more.

I don't blame people sometimes for claiming as people are struggling for money and it's an easy $$$

BUT insurance should be based on personal circumstances and we all shouldn't shoulder the burden For the excuses they give about raising all our premiums they must be doing something wrong IMO.

Why can't they have a company for people that have 5+ years with no claims and points and the moment you claim or get points they fuck you off and your not allowed back? Then you pay a fair amount for the car you own based on your individual circumstances. Would be easy money for them?

Admiral were in the top 3 but not the best...Octagon insurance seems to be the 'New' cheap company plus Liverpool Victoria were second

Was the same for me when I had V6 mondeo. I have 8 years ncb and it was nearly £800!

Then today when I was changing my insurance on my bike to an R1 they wanted £300 extra till April when the policy ends! Got a new quote online for £250 for the year!

I tried LV last night but they wouldn't quote me because of my mods

Same with Octagon - "Sorry, but we’re not able to quote a premium for you based on the details you have given us."
