Has anyone ever done it?
I have raised money before for NSPCC to which I made £378 in 6 hours.I'm really eager to get over my fear of heights and do a sponsored parachute jump....Has anyone ever done it?
I've just checked out a few sites and I get to jump FREE if I raise 20% over the fee of the jump (£400 for a £280 jump)

read it wrong 
You can jump for "free" providing you raise at least £120 over the cost of the skydive. For example: A tandem skydive on a Saturday costs £280 + £120 = £400 minimum amount to raise. You can take your costs out of the funds raised. (So we get paid) and the charity get at least £120.

That's crap, if you're going to do a jump for charity, pay for the jump yourself so the charity gets all the money people kindly donate rather than using £280 of peoples donations to fund your jump...

That's only one site neil. there is one in liverpool which is completely free of charge if you raise money for one of the 30 charitys they have listed on their site

I did one, paid for it myself and raised about a grand. Don't take money off people telling them its for charity but instead so you can do a jump.

Raise about a thousand a year for genes for
Jeans.
Don't do anything special for it though, collection tins in town centre, and get bag packers in supermarkets.

Regarding the jump... 9 times out of 10 if u ask them
They'll let you do it free for some
Publicity.
