iv decided i dont want my 'racing' steering wheel and boss in my corsa anymore, so i went to take it out today and it wont budge.
i tried hitting it with a rubber mallet and still didnt move 
how can i get it off ???

wiggle and pull your hardest on the wheel and tap centre steering rack to shock it and use some wd40 on the splines thats how ive always done it, but im sure you can buy steering wheel pullers off ebay

undo the big nut a little but dont take it off, pull with one hand and batter the steering shaft with a hammer, its eayer with 2, if you take the nut all the way off and hammer the shaft you might damage the threads on it while you leave the nut on and turn it off when the wheel is free it will simply straighten up the threads

Thanks, i'll try hitting the shaft with the nut on and try some wd40. If that doesnt work i'll need to buy a puller :/
