the whole reliability issue is bollocks.

All my Saxo's have never had a mechanical issue bar one driveshaft which was entirely inflicted by me

Had 3 Corsas, 1 headgasket went, one had ignition and timing problems and ive just replaced the heater matrix on this one.

It's an internet thing for sure, I had a shaft go on me in all the time I had mine, I've never had bad issues with French cars.

If you have another kid, it will be hard to have a track car. Stop being under the thumb and get it!

You could knock some off that price anyway

I won't say that it's every French car but it's not just an internet thing. I know at least two mechanics who have totally slated French cars, Renaults more so than Citroens and pugs, and know of plenty others who share the same opinion after working on them day in day out.

Again, I'm not claiming that all French cars are shite. Just that it's not something that's been made up by the internet, there's a reason for them having the reputation.

GTI 6 brakes are 283mm and more than up to the job, I had them on mine with ds2500 pads and they were amazing, mine came off a 205 turbo and he prefered them to his wilwoods he replaced them with.

I was meaning in terms of the car being good value. I would guess the single pots probably feel a bit better.
