No less than £2000 I'd imagine. Quite expensive to insure

Take a look at the S1 106 XSI. Not far off the pace of a VTS, and imo a lot less 'boyracer'. Go well with a pugsport and air filter too.

I insured one for around £2000 when I was 17 with no NCB.

I don't mean to be rude but have you tried the various insurance websites avaliable to you on the World Wide Web that sell car insurance and not a Corsa forum?

As Ollie said asking a corsa forum how much is a bit daft. There are so many factors which effect price. May aswell ask how long is a piece of string

VTS and 106 GTI's are stupid amounts to insure for what they are, 1.6's ... look at 8v versions such as VTR and maybe a series 1 rallye

Jus to add i think corsa's are cheap to insure for what they are (1.6 16v corsa gsi is nearly half the number of insurance groups than the 1.6 16v vts )

Or save your money and drive something slower for a couple of years. Then when you have some experience and NCB behind you get a VTS. There is a reason that insurance is so expensive for youngsters.

Insurance groups aren't everything, a Corsa GSi is nearly double a 106 GTI for me, but I'd rather the 106 anyway

Maybe so, but look;

Audi A3 1.8, group 23

Corsa GSi, group 21 (Churchill wouldn't insure me, so I went on Compare the Market)

So insurance groups don't mean everything
