I know its a bit of a long shot, but I seem to remember we had a resident doctor on Corsasport for a while, and i can't find the info i'm looking for elsewhere so i thought i'd ask here...
I have O negative blood, so does that mean I can only accept an organ from someone else with O negative blood too?

no, i beleive that you can change your blood type... i do forensics and that if an organ is added the blood type will adapt. not 100% sure.

O negative can be given to anyone, but they can only recieve O negative back.
The bad thing is only 8% of people in the world have that blood type.
The reason I ask is because I have a kidney disease which means I'll need a transplant in later life.
It just occured to me that an O Neg kidney might be quite rare.

No
I've got polycystic kidney disease. Its hereditary and I got diagnosed with it about 5 years ago.
Doesn't affect me now, but I'll need a transplant later in life.
