Didnt have time to get online much today but i am please to say i had my appraisal and my company are very impressed with my work this past year and have given me a 7% pay rise

keeps me from looking at a new job for a little while longer.. although i am tempted with checking out RackSpace in Uxbridge. They are currently #35 of the Top 100 companies to work for in the UK.
Average wage there is £35k with potential for massive progression

dusting off the CV this summer i think

It's good that you get a bit of recognition like that. I know we mostly go to work for money but when they give you a pat on the back like that it does make you feel good. It motivates you to push yourself further.

I've not had a pay rise in 3 years, proper gash working in private housing just now. Think I will slum it for a couple more years for experience then go chase monies in a bigger company, saying that this is an easy life with no stress...

Well done mate. Its good to work for a company that recognises when you work harder than everyone else.

Im one of 4 people in the final for our version of 'employee of the year' which will be held at the Monastry in Manchester next month. Not bad from a company of 12,000 people, doubt i'll get a pay rise from it though
